Currently shooting in Nashville, STOKER has our attention for its heady assemblage of talents: two Aussies (Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska), the Brit forever known in geek circles as Ozymandias (Matthew Goode) and Korean director Park Chan-wook (Oldboy). Playing “a very curious uncle” who comes to stay with a bereaved mother and daughter following his brother’s death, Goode brands the thriller “amazing, Hitchcockian and thankfully nothing to do with Dracula.” |
